Future Goals

Short-Term Goals

• To acquire greater proficiency in sign language (SEE II) in a year

  • Participate in more Deaf community events ​such as being a National Deaf Games volunteer

  • Interact more with deafies during events and make friends with them

• Become more familiar and experienced in the field of early education

  • Volunteer and participate in events catered to young children​ such as working with National Library Board or Beyond Social Services

  • Volunteer with Bead by bead organisation (non-profit organisation that advocates for autism)

Long-Term Goals

• To acquire a career as a preschool educator, having a role as a senior teacher

  • Look for relief teaching jobs at preschools to build my connections​

  • When I get a full-time job at a preschool, I will put in my best for the children

• To continuously learn new things to improve my skills as an early educator

  • Read up on articles and materials provided by NIEC, NAEYC and ECDA​

  • Sign up for early education courses
